What this solves
Tour brokers love bundling: "ATV + Shooting + Zipline + Lunch" for $499 per person sounds like a deal, until you realize the three activities book separately for $310–$380 each. The broker keeps 30–40% and you get the same ride. This calculator lays out each activity at its real à-la-carte price, compares against the most common 2026 packages, and gives you the per-person number for your group size.
It also calculates drive-time between locations — because a "combo" that has you driving 90 minutes between activities is not really a combo, it is two trips with a discount sticker.
The combo calculator
Choose activities
2026 à-la-carte prices (per person)
| Activity | Low | High |
|---|---|---|
| ATV/UTV (1–2 hr trail) | $159 | $249 |
| Shooting package (mguns) | $179 | $269 |
| Zipline (full Bootleg) | $139 | $179 |
| Helicopter Strip flight | $149 | $219 |
| Helicopter Grand Canyon west rim | $329 | $549 |
| Sunset horseback (1.5 hr) | $99 | $159 |
Use the low column to model group rates and the high column for weekend / peak-season solo booking.

How to read the result
- À-la-carte total is the sum of each activity's per-person price at your pricing column. No hidden broker fees, no forced lunch.
- Combo package is what a typical Strip broker charges ($399–$599 per person for a 3-activity day). The 2026 market has compressed this — most legitimate packages now sit at $349–$449.
- Hours of actual activity excludes transport, lunch, briefing, and gear-up. Realistic on-activity time is 40–60% of the published "experience duration."
- Drive between locations assumes Boulder City / Jean / Pahrump operators — most off-road, zipline, and shooting activities cluster within 25 miles of each other. Helicopter tours launch from Boulder City and McCarran, so they break the combo unless you start and end at the heliport.
- Verdict picks the cheaper option for your group size. At 4+ people à-la-carte usually wins; at 2 people the package can save time even if it costs more.
Limitations
- Helicopter prices are highly fuel-dependent; in 2026 a Grand Canyon west rim tour is $329–$549 per person, but bundles with Strip flights can hit $699. This calculator uses published rack rates.
- Shooting ranges age-restrict (typically 18+ or 12+ with parent), and out-of-state permits add background-check time. The calculator does not check eligibility.
- Drive times assume Boulder City base — if you are staying in Summerlin or downtown, add 30–45 minutes each way.
- The "combo package" comparator is a single typical Strip broker price. Real package prices range from $299 (loss-leader) to $799 (luxury), and they shift seasonally. Always get an itemized quote.
- Group discounts exist at most operators but typically require 8+ people and a 30-day lead. The calculator does not model these.
FAQ
Are combo packages ever actually cheaper?
For a solo traveler or a couple, sometimes — you save the booking friction and the package includes transport between Boulder City stops. For 4+ people, booking direct is almost always 25–40% cheaper per person.
What is the single best "bucket list" adventure?
Strip helicopter at sunset. It is the only activity you cannot replicate in any other US city. Helicopters are weather-sensitive though — book the first flight of the day in summer to avoid monsoon ground holds.
Is the shooting range realistic or is it a tourist gimmick?
Both. You will fire real full-auto M249s, M240s, AK-47s, Barrett .50 cals. The ranges are staffed by ex-military instructors and the safety record is excellent. The "experience" is real; the price is what it costs to feed expensive ammunition.
Can I book all of this on the same day?
Atypical. ATV/UTV + shooting in Boulder City back-to-back is doable because they are 8 minutes apart. Adding zipline stretches the day to 10+ hours. Add helicopter and you are at 12+ hours, and you have to relocate.
